CloudNine has traditionally operated as a wholesaler of eDiscovery services and has served as the back-end for several large eDiscovery firms and large consulting firms. Because of our history, CloudNine has developed a very low pricing model based on a very efficient system that allows clients to benefit from the operational efficiencies and low prices.
History of CloudNine Discovery
CloudNine started in 2002 with a focus on the project management of large scanning and coding projects. One of our early clients was a large corporation that needed project management of a nationwide scanning project lasting over 2 years across 34 locations with 9,000 boxes. We managed the entire project including the collection, scanning and coding through a nationwide network of local service bureaus.
We later developed our cloud-based document management application, OnDemand®, to help our clients manage their scanned and coded data. Soon after, many of our service bureau partners became resellers of OnDemand and offered it to their corporate and law firm clients as a branded solution with their company logo.
Software demand continued to grow and ultimately became our company focus while we assisted our service bureau partners with project management expertise in transitioning from providing scanning services to a full range of eDiscovery services. Many of those partners relied on us to provide them with a full suite of eDiscovery services including processing and hosting.
CloudNine Discovery has over 110 authorized resellers servicing 90 metropolitan areas throughout the United States and Canada.
The company’s blog, eDiscovery Daily, is a trusted source of information in the legal industry.
CloudNine Discovery developed OnDemand®, an online eDiscovery review and early case assessment application which is currently used by over fifty of the top 250 law firms worldwide. CloudNine Discovery also offers OnDemand Discovery®, a cloud-based eDiscovery processing software.
Both applications are offered as self-service offerings, also known as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), where CloudNine Discovery licenses the applications to customers for use and provides the data center, network, hardware, software and infrastructure for running the applications so clients can access them via the Internet.
The growth of CloudNine Discovery is reflected in our inclusion in several lists of fastest growing companies, including the Inc. 5000 list in 2008, 2009 and 2011, Houston FastTech 50 in 2007 and 2009, and Houston Fast 100 in 2008 and 2009. Our strategic partners, resellers and clients have come to expect consistent quality, reliable service and timely communication. We regularly receive both client and reseller testimonials.
